This Advisory applies to the residents and users on portions of 1st Avenue and 2nd Street East in the Town of St. Walburg and is effective June 6, 2017 at 8 a.m. until further notice. Pursuant to clause 36(1)(a) of The Environmental Management and Protection Act, 2010 this Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory is issued due to a depressurization required for water main valve replacements and therefore the safety of the town’s drinking water supply cannot be ensured at all times. Pursuant to Clause 36(1)9b) of The Environmental Management and Protection Act 2010, consumers must be notified to: (a) boil all water, used for drinking purposes, for at least one minute, at a rolling boil, prior to use; boil water to be used for other activities where it may be ingested such as brushing teeth or soaking false teeth; washing fruits and vegetables; food or drink which will not be subsequently heated; and ice cubes. Do not use the water for washing dishes unless the water has been boiled or the dishes are sanitized. If you require further information, please call the Town Office at (306) 248-3232.
