Mayor George Prudat
Born and raised on a farm near Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. Married to Joan Prudat, nee Brandenburg, for 42 great years and counting. Moved to St. Walburg to be close to family, but this is one of the nicest areas of Canada in which to live. It is safe here, the people are honest, helpful and so very nice. I joined the Canadian Military at a young age, graduated from the Canadian Forces Command and Staff College in Toronto and Memorial University in Newfoundland. I have spent many years at sea and was the Captain of one of Canada’s helicopter equipped destroyers that had a crew of 300 sailors and which operated globally. After 37 years of Military service I retired and joined the Federal Public Service as a senior Federal Government Employee and was employed, in Ottawa, by the Centre for Operational Research and Analysis (CORA). After 45 plus years combined military and civil service to Canada, I have retired to St. Walburg. I am an accomplished off shore sailor having raced sailing yachts many thousands of miles in most oceans and I have circumnavigated the world. My hobbies are golfing, genealogy and reading and I am trying to become a fisherman.
Deputy Mayor Claude Lalonde
Hello, I and my wife Dianne came to the community with our children Michelle and Michael back in 1986. Later we were blessed with our youngest daughter Monique. I spent most of my working career with Canada Post, retiring 3 years ago in August. I enjoy anything related to sports and served on several boards and organizations in the community over the past 30 years. I am looking forward to working with our new Town Council over the next four years in my third term. Thank you to the past council for the past four years of service to our community.

But due to unfortunate circumstances, Ryan passed away in 2002. I have been a contractor in the area with my business, Looshorn Construction since 1975. My first term with council began in 1982 continuing until 2000. I then took a term off and returned to council in 2004 to the present day.
