  • Governance & Priorities

    This Committee is comprised of ALL Council members to discuss items that pertain to future growth, development, and service provision. The objectives of this Committee are the forthright dialogue and debate of all matters important to the Town of St. Walburg and the surrounding region; facilitation of community, regional, provincial, and federal partnerships and working relations (networks); delivering efficient and accountable government; ensuring a high quality of life for all, including future generations; and driving strategic land development and growth opportunities.

  • Community Engagement

    This Committee engages in public consultation, provides directions on plans and policy initiated through public engagement, reviews and provides recommendations on St. Walburg and Community Recreation and Culture Grant. The objectives of this Committee are to establish principles as the foundation of community partnerships; build and maintain bridges between the Town and the St. Walburg community; align with community groups to initiate networking opportunities for community-driven priorities; recognize the hard work and dedication of the citizens in St. Walburg; exploration of emerging opportunities and initiatives that support community-town connections; and encourage proactive engagement with communities beyond St. Walburg town limits.

  • Finance

    This Committee manages the annual budget for the Town of St. Walburg. The Finance Committee recommends the Mill Rate and the Mill Rate Factor for the General Municipal Levy to align with the prepared budget.

  • Human Resources

    This Committee is responsible for review and recommendation of the short and long-term planning of human resources with consideration of the following key areas of accountability: organizational structure, employment and contract recruitment, job descriptions, issues management and conflict resolution, consistent ongoing review of OH&S best practices and regular review of competencies and evaluation of performance and benefits. The objectives of this Committee are to align with and support the Official Town of St. Walburg Strategic Plan 2021-2024; accountable and transparent management of the Town’s human resources; and fostering forthright, factual dialogue and debate as related to human resource matters.

  • Infrastructure

    This Committee meets to discuss areas of interest with regard to infrastructure assets owned by the Town of St. Walburg. Key areas of accountability are Transportation Services, Environmental Health Services, and Utility Services. The objectives of this Committee are Master Plans; Levels of Service and Standards; Recycling, waste transfer and landfill standards; Occupational Health and Safety compliance; Stormwater management; Strategic Asset Management Plans; Future growth planning; and development and enhancement of partnerships to improve stewardship of the Town’s assets.
